Lighting and HVAC Control
Lighting Control Systems
Imagine never having to walk into a dark house again. Keypads are installed instead of traditional light switches and dimmers. One lighting keypad can take the place of up to 6 or more dimmers and switches. Each button can be both an on/off and a dimmer switch as well programmed to control any light or combination of lights inside or outside the house. Change is easy without rewiring; ie: you can add an entertainment mode, enhance security lighting, or change automatic timed events all without rewiring. Changing button functions, names or even the number of buttons can be done as well. Cabling Technologies uses hardware which allows for remote access so we can easily reprogram a keypad at any time to suit your changing needs and lifestyle. The Lighting Processor is the brain that controls all the lights. It receives button press information from the keypads, processes the commands and transmits the instructions to Modules which sets the lights to their programmed levels. The Lighting Control Modules do all the actual dimming and switching. They are capable of dimming incandescent, low voltage, electronic low voltage, fluorescent, electronic ballasted fluorescent, neon and cold cathode loads. Modules can also drive such devices as motorized window treatments and skylights. Lighting Control is often misunderstood and therefore not fully appreciated. We have found, however, that lighting control is an increasingly important part of our designs and a feature that our customers find invaluable.
Security & HVAC Integration
Security & HVAC Integration has been one of our top requests when we propose system integration to our clients. The rewards from the flexibility and simplified control are never unappreciated. HVAC Integration is one of the best ways to capitalize a return on your investment. To maximize Energy Efficiency, our systems will adjust the HVAC automatically to respond to the outside temperature, time of day or current state of your home occupancy. You gain personalized control of your system with a simplified heating and cooling schedule tailored to your lifestyle that can be activated by a single touch. One of the most used features to a system thermostat is the ability for Remote Management – while at work or on vacation you can connect, monitor and control the temperature in any room. Cabling Technologies has close working relationships with some of the largest and experienced security contractors in Fairfield County. Cabling Technologies has been collaborating and installing thoroughly engineered and integrated security systems for over ten years. The typical security system includes monitored sensors on your doors, windows and in your hallways in the form of a motion detector. We integrate these points into the rest of the homes control system and allow these points to trigger events like turning on and off lighting, setting the temperature in a room, or simply sending a text message or email when the system has been engaged or deactivated.
